Saving children: 5-day polio vaccination drive from Feb 16

GUJRANWALA:

A five-day polio vaccination drive will start in the district from February 16. The Health Department has formed 1,723 teams to administer polio drops to around 850,000 children.

The announcement was made after a meeting chaired by Gujranwala DCO Azmat Mehmood on Saturday. Health, Population, Civil Defence, Social Welfare and Education Department officials participated in the meeting.

Mehmood directed the officials to set up vaccination booths at all bus stations in the city. He said that the Health Department should make all arrangements to cover all the children under the age of five.
