ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has vowed to make the capital a city of flowers. The authority’s member environment Mustafain Kazmi said on Friday that the civic body has laid multi-coloured flowerbeds on medians and roadsides. Talking to APP, he said CDA would complete the ongoing beautification project at Zero Point Interchange and Rose and Jasmine Garden by February 15. He informed that intermediary spring season is under way and CDA is currently planting three varieties of marigolds. He said that Rs300,000 has been allocated for the beautification work at zero point. “The amount would be used for levelling earth, flower decoration, construction, supplying and dibbling of grass at the interchange”, he added.
