QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has asked Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) and Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDCL) to change their attitude towards people of Balochistan by providing them more job opportunities and social uplift schemes. “The oil and gas companies should play their role in Balochistan for the socio-economic development, which is unfortunately invisible despite the fact that these companies have been working here for decades,” he said. Dr Malik was addressing a meeting on Tuesday regarding setting up of the LPG plants in those areas of Balochistan which are not being provided with gas. “The PPL and OGDCL should invest in education, healthcare, and infrastructure,” he added. The CM lamented the lack of gas supply to major areas of Gwadar. “It is an irony that gas pipelines were laid down in those areas, where is no population and human settlement,” he said.
