PESHAWAR:

A month-long workshop on interfaith harmony concluded at a training centre at University of Peshawar on Tuesday.

“A total of 75 students from various faiths studying at different institutes of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa participated in the sessions,” said Peace Education and Development (PEAD) Foundation’s senior coordinator Shagufta Gul. PEAD was one of the sponsors of the project called ‘Youth for Social Harmony’ of which the workshop was a part.

It was facilitated by the Netherlands embassy. “The training sessions aimed at discussing issues that come in the way of cultural diversity, interfaith harmony and religious freedom,” said Gul.
