The broadcast is a 15-minute magazine programme, focusing the development sector. The programme will be aired at 2pm every Monday. Special segments based on FDP’s field reports on education, health and livelihood will be a regular feature. Regional poetry, music and comments of people, preferably from FDP project regions, will also be part of the show.
IPR was launched in 2010 by FDP in collaboration with journalists and the Journalism and Mass Communication department of the university. IPR is an integral part of FDP which is funded by a German organisation, GIZ, and coordinated by FATA Directorate of Projects.
The project aims to bridge the gap in communication between the state, media and the civil society by promoting responsible journalism and fostering dialogue.
IPR along with the department of journalism at the university help in producing and spreading authentic information about the projects in Fata, and in capacity development by offering a certificate course in development journalism.
