QUETTA:
Two personnel of security forces were injured when the convoy they were travelling with was ambushed in Naushki district on Wednesday, according to an official of the Levies.
The attackers fled after security forces opened retaliatory fire, the official said. Separately, an explosion occurred on Airport Road of Gwadar on Wednesday. However, no one was hurt in the blast.
Gwadar police said unidentified persons had planted an improvised explosive device (IED) besides the Airport Road near Civic Centre. Window panes of shops and nearby buildings were shattered due to the impact of the IED blast. Police launched an investigation into the incident.
