Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has denied that her hackers are in possession of nude photographs of her, India Today reported.

The hackers, who are said to be affiliated with The Lizard Squad, had threatened to release “naked shots” of the 25-year-old singer.

Swift, however, was fearless and responded to the threat with a tweet saying, “Have fun photoshopping cause you got NOTHING”.

A hacker with an alleged affiliation with the Lizard Squad appeared to have hacked singer Taylor Swift's Twitter and Instagram accounts Tuesday evening, The Independent reported.

Using the shake it off singer's Twitter account, messages were sent which received thousands of retweets before they were removed from her account.

In one of the messages, followers were told to follow a user with the handle @Lizzard.

Looking at the user's Twitter biography, it claimed to be a "leader of Lizard Squad" as well as a number of other well known hacking groups, namely LulzSec and Anonymous. A number of tweets were posted using Swift's account.

"Yes, I'm currently dating @taylorswift13" said one of the tweets.

Other posts and tweets had received thousands of likes and were retweeted and favourited while they stayed up, however, were removed in a matter of minutes before they were apparently removed.

Similar messages were also apparently sent from Swift's Instagram account, which had also been taken down.

Many of Swift's fans (known widely as Swifties) defended the star, while others urged hackers to follow them from the official account while it was hacked.

Tweets since January 25, including all the ones which were rumoured to be posted by the hackers, were deleted.

Swift then took to her Tumblr account to say, "My Twitter got hacked but don't worry, Twitter is deleting the hacker tweets and locking my account until they can figure out how this happened and get me new passwords."

"Never a dull moment," she also said, adding the tag "hackers gonna hack hack hack hack hack" to her post.

The Lizard Squad, who have been quickly gaining momentum in recent days, claimed to be behind the short-term technical difficulties faced by Facebook and Instagram on January 27.

A better reply would have been, 'Go on, I don't care' :)
