Batting first, HBL posted a high total of 340-7 as Farhat struck 11 boundaries and five sixes in his 137 off 117 balls, along with Asad Shafiq scoring 68 off 74 balls.
Chasing 341, Stags were bundled out for just 104 runs in 34.5 overs as Masood and Qureshi took three wickets apiece, giving away four and 16 runs respectively.
Bilal Khilji and Mainud Din, with 39 and 36 respectively, were the only two Stags batsmen with contributions of any note.
In another match, Fahim Ahmed guided SSGC to a four-wicket win over Faisalabad Wolves. Batting first, Wolves were bowled out for 186 as Ahmed accounted for six of their batsmen. In reply, SSGC made 187-6 in 38 overs as Usman Tariq struck 84 runs off 102 balls, while Sadaqat Ali took 3-28 for Wolves.
The other two matches in Lahore were reduced to 24 overs due to bad light. In the first match at the LCCA Ground, despite Kashif Naveed’s unbeaten innings of 90 runs, Multan Tigers lost their match against Lahore Eagles by seven wickets.
Batting first, Tigers scored 194-6 in their 24 overs. In reply, Eagles reached the target with six balls to spare with the help of half centuries by Tayyab Tahir (52) and Jahangir Mirza (50).
At the Gaddafi Stadium, Zulfiqar Babar and a half-century by Muhammad Fayyaz helped Wapda win their match against Abbottabad Falcons by eight wickets.
Batting first, Falcons were restricted to 130-9 in their 24 overs as Babar took 3-23 with Waqas Maqsood and Ali Bhutta taking two each.
In reply, Wapda reached their 131-run target in 20 overs for the loss of just two wickets as Fayyaz scored an unbeaten 60 off 58 balls.
