Diplo claims to know Taylor Swift’s ‘secrets’

The DJ disses Taylor Swift and is now scared for his life.

American DJ Diplo apparently knows Taylor Swift’s “secrets,” and he’s scared, Huffington Post reported on Friday. The “secrets” he is referring to are unclear though. The DJ was included in GQ’s list of 19 musicians that matter. Diplo spoke about dissing Swift’s booty back in November, and the subsequent smack-down from her best friend, Lorde. While he said the incident with Lorde was tongue-in-cheek, the response he got from the Swifties was a bit more intense.

“It sucks for me, because now I have to not be as crazy as I am on the Internet,” he said in an interview. “Which totally sucks, because it’s not going to be fun anymore. But the repercussions are really bad. Like, Taylor Swift fans are really crazy. They threatened to murder me and stuff. It’s really bizarre, and disgusting. They’re the worst people in the world.”

“She has like 40 million Twitter fans,” he continued. “40 million! Yeah. It’s crazy. I’m a fan though. Her powers — she’s big. She’s strong. Taylor Swift is very strategic with her friends and enemies.” Claiming to have a bunch of secrets on Swift, he continues, “I can’t divulge, but I know a lot of stuff about her. And she’s definitely, there’s definitely scary stuff going on. And I’m scared. I’m scared for my life.”

After Diplo tweeted about Swift in November, Us Weekly claimed his insult stemmed from a connection to another pop icon close to the DJ. Turns out, the reason behind Diplo’s affront post was Swift’s tiff with the DJ’s current girlfriend, Katy Perry. The rift allegedly between Swift and Perry began after the Shake It Off singer publicised to the media that she’d written Bad Blood about a fellow pop star aka Perry.

But Lorde, Swift’s BFF, quickly came to her best friend’s rescue and fired back insults at the DJ. As for Lorde and Diplo, the two in fact maintained a friendship at one point, when the DJ remixed Lorde’s single Tennis Court. Only time will tell how this rift works itself out.
