Actor Hamza Ali Abbasi has been appointed as secretary culture for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in Karachi.

Abbasi, a former civil service trainee, has been an active and supporter of the PTI and its chairman Imran Khan. He joined the party late last year and was spotted on many of the party’s sit-ins held last year to overthrow the incumbent Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government.

The party's Karachi President Ali Zaidi took to his Twitter account to announce that the actor will take on the role of PTI Karachi's Secretary Culture and posted a picture of the formal letter.

Meanwhile, the Waar actor who is open in his support of the PTI and often tweets in favour of the party is yet to make an official announcement on his social media accounts.

For a post like this you always need a poster selling face, A person who has high morality, good character and should be someone who is known public figure. People or specially youngster in this case look upto that person.

Maybe thats the top reason that is making some people really upset. As per your examples, Asad Umer and Hamza Abbasi, they both have earned respect and honour in their respective fields by their hardwork and devotion, just like everyone in PTI represent the ordinary and regular Pakistani who all have served in their respective professions and reached the highest possible level of success. And just like all the respected, educated and wise people who never ever before imagined themselves watching a current affairs or political talkshows are now proudly taking active part in Pakistani poltics and they are not taking it lightly. They all have finally found a sincere honest and brave leader in IMRAN KHAN.

Interesting bit is that Hamza's mother is a member of National Assembly on the ticket of PPP and her name is Begum Nasim Akhtar Chaudhry and his father was the Major of Pakistan Army. The circle of Politics is like that. Son is in PTI, mother is in PPPP and and other members of his family are in PMLN. Many senior members of PTI infact have very strategic families as well. Asad Umer is in PTI while his family members are in PMLN while he is the son of One Retired General of Pakistan as well.

If someone thinks that Ordinary people are coming into Politics then they are living in a fools world. Same families but different faces are ruling us for a longer time now.
