KARACHI:

Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani on Wednesday accepted the resignations of four PTI legislators. They had submitted their resignation in September last year after their party decided to resign en masse from federal and provincial legislatures.

The speaker informed the house that the resignations submitted by MPAs Hafeezuddin, Khurram Sher Zaman, Samar Ali Khan and Seema Zia have been accepted. He said the PTI MPAs had been contacted several times “but they didn’t bother to come to the assembly,” insisting there was no option but to accept their resignations.

However, the MPAs claimed that legal formalities were not followed before accepting the resignations.

So the PTI does not deny the resignations just that the formalities were not followed. In which case they got what they wanted so what is the big deal on the formalities?
