Keeping watch: Mardan DIG visits educational institutes

Examines security arrangements made by managements of various schools

SWABI: Mardan region DIG, Saeed Khan Wazir, paid a surprise visit to high-profile educational institutes in Swabi on Wednesday to examine their security arrangements.

On the occasion, he directed the relevant authorities to ensure security of their respective institutes by taking solid steps for their safety. The DIG visited Karnal Sher Cadet College, Ismaila, University of Swabi, Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, Quaid-e-Azam Schools and Colleges and various other institutes.



During the visit, he discussed security issues with the management of educational institutes. He also examined the boundary walls, CCTV cameras, arms and other security arrangements.

The DIG said the K-P government has taken several concrete steps to ensure security of students and staff members at private and public institutes across the province.

“The managements of educational institutes should support the move and follow directives of the provincial government to avoid any untoward incident,” he added.

He said the police would play its part by cooperating with the institutes in this regard. “The K-P police is also working to restore the peace and safety of the public across the province.”
