"Till Waqar is the coach I will never be considered for a comeback to the national team," Razzaq complained, according to NDTV.
Claiming the campaign was not only against him, Razzaq revealed the head coach quarreled with Shahid Afridi when he was the captain of one-day and T20 squads in 2011 and later submitted an adverse report about the skipper to the Pakistan Cricket Board that led to his ouster.
"For some reason since Waqar became head coach he had an agenda against us senior players including myself, Muhammad Yousuf and even Shahid Afridi," he added.
However, Razzaq did not only reserve his criticism for Younis and lashed out at the Pakistan Cricket Board for having no consistent policy for appointing key persons in the national team.
"Whether Waqar left midway through his contract in 2011 himself or was told to resign by the board, I don't understand how the cricket board reappointed him to the same position last year. That means either then or now the board made a wrong decision," the 35-year-old insisted.
Further, Razzaq states the problem with the team today is that players are not being taken into confidence.
"The problem with Pakistan cricket today is that players are not being taken into confidence by the captain or management. There is too much shunting of players going on which is not good for Pakistan cricket. The truth is, since 2007 our standards have gone down while other countries are improving."
Commenting on captain Misbahul Haq, Razzaq said that although he was a good bet for Test cricket but he is not a limited overs player and needs to have more confidence in players.
"You will see players facing fitness issues when they are not mentally relaxed and this happens when the team management is not supportive enough," he said.
The dynamic all-rounder said even Pakistan's domestic cricket standard had gone down.
"We're still playing a lot of one-day cricket whereas in other countries the stress now is on first class and T20 cricket. The people responsible for running domestic cricket don't take it seriously themselves," said Razzaq.

Razzaq also clarified the World Cup squad was selected with consensus by chief selector Moin Khan, Younis and Misbah, so they were all responsible for the team’s performance.
Razzaq who has appeared in 46 Tests, 235 one-day Internationals and 32 T20 matches, said he had retired from four-day cricket not one-day or T20 cricket and was always ready to play for Pakistan.
The cricketer’s last Test appearance was in 2006 and his last ODI in 2011 but he was picked up for a T20 series against South Africa in 2013.

PCB dwarfs have been doing great injustice to this versatile cricketer. They have been patronizing once a many dozen "performers" like akmal brothers, bilawal bhatti, nasir jamshed etc. but being squalidly biased against talented players like Razzaq, Fawad Alam.
@Ex-cricketer: Then how about recalling Miandad and Imran Khan too?
Why is it that all the senior players are saying the same thing about Waqar Younis? All of them cannot be liars. Shoaib Akhtar, Razzaq And Yousuf were never accused of any match fixing so they are clean on that side They all say the same thing about Waqar Younis. Let's wait for Afridi to retire, then let's see what all he has to say on Waqar. Waqar was a good bowler but a hopeless captain in 2003 World Cup and it seems he is a useless coach as well with ego problem with the seniors in the team as he is the same age group as seniors as well
I always think that this guy is most overrated cricketer, haven't seen him performing consistently . I advice him to better keep quiet and perform in domestic cricket.
So, Abdul Razzaq played in three of the last four World Cups and in 22 matches scored 368 runs at an average of 21.65 and took 19 wickets at 31.15 and was not the most mobile man in the field at 19 at his first W/C appearance! At 35, he would be the man to take Pakistan through to greater glory? Pakistan has retained no less than eight of the 2010-11 World Cup team, three of whom (Afridi, Hafeez and Younis) also played in the 2007 World Cup and two of those (Afridi and Younis) played in the 2003 World Cup (indeed Afridi played in the 1999 World Cup as well). Believe me, the stats of these 'seniors' are not likely to make pretty reading either. Any worthwhile recollections of the great and glorious moments of these 'seniors' against strong opposition or in any World Cup semi/quarter final matches?
Razzak is the best players and he can still play for 5 years, he is lot more better than the current team and players....
Come on dude, you was good as long as you were around and you reaped great dividends. Since you have no performance to speak of of late, you have been rightly canned. I am sure that had you been in Australia-New Zealand bound team right now, Waqar Younis would be hailed by you as the greatest coach around and Misbah would have been lauded as the most innovative captain ever.
Whining babies like yourself and Mohammad Yousuf are quitters who can't bear being dropped and instead either run to play unsanctioned pajama cricket like ICL or bad mouth their own board, captain, coaches and the very players that you share a bound with and have camaraderie.
Razaq is a definitely a legend for Pakistan Cricket...Lets not forget that Waqar Younis was also was also responsible for Shoaib Akhtar's rather impolite exit from one day cricket... A World Cup is the time is when we want to see our legends perform rather than trying new players. All winning teams always have the right combination of experience and talent. We made the blunder of not playing Shoaib Akhtar in the last World Cup against India which demoralized the team and now we are moving towards another blunder. Its about time we start giving our players a respectful exit
Razzaq it's sad what has happend but then that's what Pakistani cricket is all about. You've have played some wonderful innings. One is never going to forget your innings against S.A.
Really missing you especially when guys like Afridi are still in the team.
Razzaq! you was our hero, you are our hero and you will be our hero. You have ability to do for pakistani cricket everything which anynone can do. we are missing you in team.
Come on Abdul Razzaq you are 35 yrs old now, pakistan cricket should invest in young players not senior citizens like you, and your performances (domestic) should speak rather than your tongue... just admit the truth that you are no more good to play for pak team.
Haters gonna hate,,,,, Razzaq is a match winning and experienced player, with this young team squad he could play a key role,
If he announce his retirement from ODI after upcoming world cup, may be he could pick for the WC 2015 squad, he is great and match winning player, he could play a key role in WC.
Hello haters.
Razzaq is a legend..he has done some of the things that no one else can - his last phenomenal performance being that 102* against SA. there is not a single person in the current squad that can finish a game like Razzaq does and the countless number of times he has won us impossible games!
If Misbah with an average of 23 in 2014 and an extremely sluggish stone aged strike rate can play and even captain the team then Razzaq deserves all the chance in the world to play. and i can bet he can prove all of you wrong given the chance.
Not tongue but your performance (in domestic cricket) should fight for your rights....Mr. Razaak
Wake up Razzak. Your time is done. You played some memorable knocks ages ago that I cant even recall. Look at other teams how youngsters are being groomed with experience to take the reins of team in near future. Look at Kohli how he's the captain of Indian team. This is the biggest flaw of our cricketing system. No player want's to evaluate if his time is done. I you don't have the decency to call it a day then someone will have to show you the door. Try writing columns, become a coach, brush up your English and become a commentator. Please don't ever think about being part of playing 11 again.
