The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted operations in different areas of the division and held three persons and recovered drugs from their possession.


Officials arrested Adil Rabbani, a resident of Mansehra, and recovered two kilograms of heroin from his possession. He was arrested at Abbotabad Mor, Hassanabdal, while riding a motorcycle. As per preliminary investigations, the suspect smuggled heroin from Peshawar and intended to hand it over to a local peddler in Attock.


In another incident, a suspected drug supplier identified as Adil Shazad, a resident of Jhelum, was nabbed at Mangla Bypass, Dina and 0.5kg of heroin was seized from his possession.


Meanwhile, an ANF team in Gilgit on a tip-off intercepted a car near Inam Guest House, Gilgit and arrested a suspected drug distributor, identified as Muhammad Tahir, a resident of Diamer. 1.05kg of hashish was recovered from him.


As per official reports, the accused is presently residing in Jutial Colony, Gilgit and is involved in the sale of drugs for local use. Cases have been registered.
