Precautions: ‘French engineers should be protected’

Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Managing Director Syed Zahid Aziz on Monday urged police to enhance security for French engineers in Faisalabad. Talking to The Express Tribune, he said security around project sites where French engineers were working was poor. He said four years ago, a water supply project worth Rs5 billion was initiated in Faisalabad.


He said French engineers, were invited to work on the project. He said the security plan for the site had been not revised. Aziz said he had sent an application to the police to beef up security for foreign engineers.  Talking to The Express Tribune, CPO Sohail Tajik said a survey was being conducted of all foreigners working on various international projects in the city. He said a report had been sought from various departments in this regard.
