PAF replaced Army in second place in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) as they defeated KPT 3-1 at the KPT Stadium yesterday.

PAF played their last match in the league and have 42 points with a better goal difference than Army. Mansoor Khan scored the opening goal in the 20th minute of the match, while Muhammad Arif doubled the lead in the 33rd minute. Seasoned striker Muhammad Mujahid then sealed the win for PAF five minutes later. The home side, also playing their last match, managed to claw one back through Muhammad Waseem in the 47th minute but a comeback was not forthcoming as neither side added to the goals.

In today’s fixture Army, who also have 42 points, will need to win against NBP to reclaim second spot.
