Suspicious activity: Three caught slaughtering donkey

BAHAWALPUR:

Villagers of Chak 79 on Friday caught three men slaughtering a donkey and handed them over to the police.

A police spokesman said Imran, Mehboob and Maqbool were skinning the donkey in a field when Sharafat, Rayasat Ali and Rafaqat Ali and several other farmers found them.

He said the villagers called the police. He said the men were arrested and the donkey was taken away.

The spokesman said a team had been formed to investigate the case. Rafaqat Ali told newsmen that seven donkeys had been stolen from them in a month. He said villagers feared that they were being killed so their meat could be sold to public.
