It seems many people would like to see their enemies bombarded - with glitter.

A newly-launched website, launched earlier this week, crashed within hours of its launch as it was evident everyone wanted to send glitter to their enemies, The Washington Post reported.

The new service ShipYourEnemiesGlitter.com lives up to its name and does exactly that. For a mere $9.99AUD, customers can send their enemies a glitter bomb, and if you've had any experience with glitter, you'd know you can't rid yourself of it for a long time.

“We are a real service, we actually do send glitter to your enemies,” company founder Mathew Carpenter told The Post via e-mail.

All one must do is pay money to ShipYourEnemiesGlitter.com and the glitter will be sent to your chosen recipient while you remain anonymous.

“We’ll also include a note telling the person exactly why they’re receiving this terrible gift,” the site explains. “Hint: The glitter will be mixed in with the note thus increasing maximum spillage.”

Glitter-bombing is not a new phenomenon and has been a 'thing' in the US for many years. It is best known as an act of protest in advocating LGBT rights and could pose as a threat if it finds its way into your eyes.

The Kardashians have been at the receiving end of glitter bombs as was former presidential candidate Rick Santorum.

A college student glitter-bombed Mitt Romney in 2012 and pleaded guilty to a charge of disturbing peace.
