ISLAMABAD:
The Supreme Court (SC) adjourned, on Friday, the hearing of a petition against the appointment of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chief for two weeks.
The adjournment was made after the federation sought more time to prepare its arguments. The petition challenges the appointment of Syed Deedar Husain Shah as the NAB chief.
Defence lawyer Hafeez Pirzada did not appear before the court today. The Attorney General informed the court that the federation has sought more time to prepare a comprehensive reply to earlier court directives.
The court warned the federation not to delay the case.
It said no extension will be given for the case after two weeks' time and the hearings will take place on a daily basis after this adjournment.
