Addressing a news conference at the Peshawar Press Club on Tuesday, candidates threatened to stage a sit-in outside the Governor House if authorities failed to take action against those involved in corrupt practices, specifically officials of the education department.

PTC candidate Musavir said interviews were conducted for the vacant posts on October 31, 2012, but appointment orders were issued on December 31, 2014. He pointed out the deadline for recruitment expires six months after the interview. Musavir also alleged top position holders were not considered for the vacant posts.
He claimed some candidates with fake degrees from Darra Adam Khel were recruited. He alleged the individuals bribed the administration and were appointed despite the fact that documented proof against their misdeeds was provided to the education department.
Musavir also demanded that future recruitment be carried out through the National Testing Service (NTS) so that those with fake degrees are disqualified.
