Dozens of family members and neighbours staged a demonstration outside the SSP office on Wednesday to protest the ghastly act. They demanded that the culprits be arrested.
According to the mother, two teenage boys and a 40-year-old man abused her child. The police said that two suspects have been arrested but a case will be registered after the medico-legal office (MLO) issues a certificate.
"They [the accused] took my son to the guest house of a man named Farhan at around 10am, gave him some drug in a drink and raped him," claimed the mother of S, Ghazala Solangi. "Some other boys brought him home at around 3pm. He was unconscious." She accused Sardar Sachal and two teenagers, Raja Kolhi and Haneef Chandio, of the crime.
Moreover, she alleged that the SITE police released the arrested suspects. However, the investigation officer, Muhammad Akram Jatt, claimed that both Sachal and Kolhi are still in police custody. He informed that the FIR will be registered after the MLO and the police surgeon issue the medical certificate. He said that he expects to get the certificate by Thursday morning.
