PM to leave for Bahrain tomorrow

During his visit, the premier will hold bilateral talks with Bahraini leadership

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is set to leave for Bahrain on a two-day visit on Wednesday.

The premier is visiting the country on the invitation of King Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa and Bahrain Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman al Khalifa.

The premier will be accompanied by a high-level delegation.

During the visit, the premier will hold meetings with the king and his counterpart besides other ministers of Bahrain.

The focus of the meeting will be on further enhancement of bilateral relations in various fields, including energy cooperation, manpower employment, trade and investment and defence.

The two counties closely cooperate at international forums like the United Nations and Organistion of Islamic Conference (OIC).

Bahrain hosts over 100,000 Pakistanis, who are contributing to the development of the kingdom and are a bridge between the people of the two countries.
