The context of the National Action Plan, security issues and rehabilitation of temporarily displaced persons (TDPs) were on the agenda of today’s meeting.
On Saturday, the government formed ‘apex committees’ in all provinces to oversee the implementation of the National Action Plan against terrorism.
Speaking at a special meeting of the Punjab apex committee held at the corps headquarters in Lahore on Saturday, army chief General Raheel Sharif assured the provincial governments of the military’s full support for judicious and speedy action against all evil forces working in the country.
“The key to success lies in the whole-hearted participation of society and ensuring harmony among all intelligence and law-enforcement agencies at every level,” said Gen Raheel.

They should be going to Afghanistan. These are Afghans living on the dole for years. The Aid, NGO's will dry up now, with the Americans gone. Time to go back to Afghanistan.
@ishrat salim: Thanks for Real Meaning of "Go Man Go"! It's the encouragement not denial actually! @Ch. Allah Daad: Just S.U. Sir!
Kaptaan Sahib is the de-facto ruler of KP, therefore he must attend this very important meeting to guide and provide his valuable input. This is his very old habit to go in hiding during unfavourable circumstances.
Let all the prententions, bravado and the "national consensus" talk rest - everyone knows who the real boss is!
Go Gen Raheel go...never seen such an active general in the history of Pakistan. You have exposed that our civilian govt & politicians are a bunch of incompetent, void of patriotism & vision. They are not at all pro-active with misplaced priorities & no value for human lives, thus have no moral ground to run the govt nor are capable of protecting the lives of the people as per constitution, so, they have abdicated their responsibilities & out-sourced governance to you Gen Raheel & your team.
