Hit-and-run: Old man crushed to death

Complainant says driver fled the scene after hitting

ISLAMABAD: An elderly pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run accident in the Industrial Area. Iftikhar Hussain lodged a complaint with the police stating that his father, Abdul Wahid, was crossing the road when a speeding vehicle hit him, causing injuries that proved to be fatal. The complainant said that the driver fled the scene after hitting Wahid. The injured was rushed to a local hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. The police have registered a case.
