
A nine-member delegation of JA visited Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) office here on Wednesday. The delegation was headed by Yasuhiro Nakagawa, vice chairman JA Japan and President Kyoto Prefecture Union of Agriculture Cooperatives. Members of the delegation also showed keen interest in farming techniques and methods, dairy farms, quality of soil and product range.
PBIT Chief Executive Officer Saadat Muzaffar said Punjab has all necessary infrastructure to meet the needs of foreign investment and the PBIT is providing technical support and assistance to foreign investors to initiate new projects. Muzaffar said the PBIT is playing a proactive role in liaising with foreign investment companies and apprising them of investment opportunities in the province.
He also highlighted various sectors that are mutually beneficial to both the countries, including agriculture and livestock.
