FAISALABAD: A man shot and killed his two sisters over honour in Chiniot Saddar area on Saturday. A police spokesman said Ejaz Muhammad, a resident of Chak 13 Wilanay Wala, had early had an argument with his sisters Ayesha Bibi and Faiza Bibi*, when he accused them of having an affair with some neighbours. He said they denied it but Muhammad shot and killed them before he fled. Abdul Kareem, an uncle of the deceased, told The Express Tribune Ejaz asked his sisters to stop bringing shame to the family. He said he had told them to stop seeing the men. He said Faiza told had Muhammad told to “hold his tongue” and said she had done nothing wrong. He said Ayesha, too, had denied his accusations. Kareem said Muhammad had then pulled a gun and shot them. He said the girls had died on the spot. Chiniot Saddar station house officer said police had registered a case and a special team had been constituted to arrest him. He said post mortem examination of the deceased had been conducted and bodies were handed over to their families for burial. He said police were waiting for the post mortem report.
