“The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) has reported discrepancies in those five polling stations of NA-125 where Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI) Hamid Khan had bagged more votes than me,” Railway Minister Khwaja Saad Rafique said on Sunday.
He told a press conference the poling stations fell in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA).
“More people in the DHA voted for Hamid Khan.”
The minister said three TV channels had aired news regarding the report without seeking his version on the issue. He said their reports were incorrect.
He said he was waiting for the election tribunal’s decision on the rigging allegations.
Rafique said PTI chairman Imran Khan and his colleagues had lied to the people about rigging. He said Imran Khan should return to parliament to propose solutions to all people’s problems. “He is not ready to accept the people’s mandate,” he said.
The minister said those calling for a shut down of cities would be disappointed.
