CHARSADDA: A former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf provincial leader and independent candidate from PK-18, Charsadda-II, Dr Inamullah Khan, alleged “rigging took place in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) during the 2013 general elections”.

Talking to journalists at Charsadda Press Club on Sunday, Inam said PTI candidates were involved in rigging. He added the winners from Charsadda’s constituencies PK-17, 18 and 19 were involved in rigging.

The former PTI man said there was proof that around 50% of the votes for winning candidates were fake. He alleged in PK-18, a Qaumi Watan Party candidate was elected after the polls were heavily rigged. “Apart from rigging, the whole PTI government is quite corrupt,” said Inam. He also claimed record levels of rigging during the intra-party polls of PTI, adding Imran Khan took no notice of the matter despite receiving several complaints.

The politician said he submitted a petition in court against rigging in his constituency.
