
Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said financially disadvantaged people of the province would no longer remain vulnerable, thanks to steps taken by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led coalition government. Khattak was speaking to a delegation of prominent individuals from Mardan and Peshawar at the CM Secretariat on Sunday, stated a handout.
“They [the public] will get timely justice from all departments”, he said, adding change was visible after the government’s year-long struggle to eliminate corruption from public sector organisations. He urged MPAs to accomplish all goals on the agenda and provide speedy justice.
MPAs Iftikhar Mashwani, Zahid Durrani and Shaukat Yousafzai had led the delegation and updated the chief minister about the problems faced by people in their respective areas. They appreciated the provincial government’s steps for public welfare and also discussed the progress made to date.
The chief minister claimed corruption was a “hobby” of the previous government and it had spread through society like a cancer.
