Shahbaz slams minister for criticising Saudi govt's Hajj arrangements

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has condemned allegations made by Religious Affairs Minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi against the Saudi government.

The allegations have been made with regard to the Hajj arrangements.

The chief minister said that accusations have been levelled against a "brotherly country" that always supports Pakistan in times of crises.

Sharif said Kazmi should be ashamed of his ministry's poor arrangements, instead of levelling these baseless allegations.

The chief minister also demanded an apology from the religious affairs minister for his statements.

Ammar | 14 years ago | Reply It probably was obligatory for Shareefs to act as Saudi diplomats to reciprocate their blessing during the asylum. As far as we are concerned, Saudis along with their crude aid have also gifted us the Osamas and Zavahiries, and now these poor arrangements for Pilgrims including Pakistanis. They might have spent all their reserve to help US to dump their weapons in Saudi defense stores.
MAD | 14 years ago | Reply @Atif Is it a coincedence that only the Haji's travelling under the Govt sponsored scheme faced problems. those in private groups had no such issues. put two and two together my friend. having performed Hajj I know that it only gets better every year from the Saudi side.
