High-profile cases: CJ constitutes benches for next week
First bench to hear cases regarding implementation of rights of minorities, incident of lynching of Christian couple
ISLAMABAD:
Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk has constituted four benches at the principal seat to hear a number of important cases during the next week. The first bench comprising the chief justice, Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Mushir Alam, will hear cases regarding implementation of the rights of minorities, incident of the lynching of a Christian couple in Kot Radha Kishan, murder of Karachi’s social activist Parveen Rehman. The second bench will hear the cases regarding load-shedding, National Insurance Company Limited and scams of ex-PMs, Yousuf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervaiz Ashraf. The third bench will hear the cases including election matters of different parliamentarians. The fourth bench will hear NAB cases, tax and land matters.
