PTI worker’s murder: KPK speaker meets Haq Nawaz’s family

FAISALABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser visited the house of slain Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf activist Haq Nawaz on Tuesday.

Nawaz was shot dead on December 8 in Faisalabad.The speaker expressed grief at the death and assured Nawaz’s family that the PTI leadership was with them. “We are making all efforts to bring the culprits to justice,” he said. “The sacrifice rendered by Nawaz for democracy will never be forgotten,” he said. The speaker also presented a cheque of Rs0.5 million to Nawaz’s family. However, Attaullah, the brother of the deceased Haq Nawaz refused to accept it. He said that it should be donated to the Shaukat Khanum Hospital.
