Punjab minister says provincial govt released 150 million for construction of new block in postgraduate college

An award ceremony was held on Saturday at the Government Postgraduate College for Women Rawalpindi in appreciation of students’ efforts in sports. 


Punjab Minister for Labour and Manpower Raja Ishfaq Sarwar, who was also the chief guest at the occasion, addressing the participants, said the provincial government had released 150 million for the construction of a new block in the postgraduate college.


He added that funds had been specified for other projects too in the college. While, appreciating the college’s performance, he said the institution has set and example of high standard and excellence in every field.


The government, Sarwar reiterated, has taken steps in equipping women with education, training and providing them with the best facilities for sports.


Moreover, he urged the female students to be ready to confront any sort of challenges and asked them to take interest in research and education and also play a constructive role in the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
