The judge of election tribunal, Justice Hashim Kakar, has directed the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to hold re-polling in the PB-50 Kech-III, from where Askani was elected as MPA on a ticket of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
The court declared PML-N’s Akbar Askani's election as a member of the Balochistan Assembly nail and void.
Ruling National Party (NP) leader Akram Dashti had filed a petition in the tribunal and demanded verification of the votes from NADRA. The court gave verdict in favour of Dashti after verification was concluded by NADRA.
Askani was also the member of the Committee on Industries, Mining mineral development, Labour and Manpower. Askani is a landlord by profession.
The Balochistan Election Commissioner Sultan Bayyazeed said there would be re-election in the entire constituency following the directives of the tribunal. Two more cases are pending with the tribunal, seeking disqualification of two other members of the Balochistan Assembly.

@Bilal: Title of the article clearly says he was in pmln. Even if he joined later, pmln had no objections. There are also no reports of this gentleman joining pti despite pmln propaganda cell's wishes and desires.
Apparently a recount can be done everywhere but in the four constituencies that Pakistan's second-largest party has been clamoring for.

@salman: He was not in PLMN. He won the election as an independent candidate and joined the government. There were talks of him being kicked out of government when he resigned and joined TTPTI.
So when courts can decide if someone was elected wrongly then why can't IK just go to courts for rectification? Why this hullabaloo? Why is he disrupting the whole country? Seems like this is just an excuse to dislodge the Government through agitation and bring the country to a halt. IK and his backers are afraid that if the Govt. performs well they would have no chance in the next elections. Hence fail the Govt. NOW! But this is also at the same time failing the nation; but neither his backers or his supporters will understand. Therefore, this is a bad omen for the country.
@Blithe: but wait, this fake degree holder was already in PMLN. So looks like pmln don't have an issue with fake degree holders, cheaters, riggers, loan defaulters......they only have a problem when one of them leaves! lol

now he will join PTI and fight agains the "corruption". that's the irony of this country, one bad egg is disposed and the other party gave him the ticket. I am sure Imran khan would have already made him a call by now.
