Qila Gujjar Singh DSP Abdullah Jan was made an OSD and SHO Rafiullah was suspended on orders of IGP Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera in the aftermath of manhandling of some blind protesters by police on Wednesday. The CCPO submitted a first inquiry report on this to the IGP on Thursday. CCPO Amin Wains had earlier suspended five officials including two ASIs and three constables.
The provincial police chief directed the CCPO to submit a detailed report after completing a thorough enquiry into the unfortunate incident.
He said this was a clear violation of police conduct. “Any kind of violence against disabled persons will not be tolerated.”
