Pakistan Awami Tehreek chairman Tahirul Qadri will leave for the United States at 9:35am, on Wednesday. He has cited ill health as the reason for his early departure.
His doctor, MM Mansoor, will accompany him to Houston. PAT secretary general Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said on Tuesday that Qadri will leave his house at 5am to catch an Emirates flight to the US via Dubai. He said five doctors examined Qadri on Tuesday and advised him to leave for the US for treatment. Gandapur said he had received treatment in Lahore but had shown no improvement. This is why doctors have advised him to go to Houston, he said. Dr Tahirul Qadri suffers from Ejection Fraction disorder and will undergo treatment in the United States. Gandapur said he would return after his recovery. Doctors said an Ejection Fraction disorder affected the heart. Qadri’s blood pressure was high and he had trouble speaking, they said.
