FAISALABAD:

Two sisters were raped by five men in Lundianwala on Tuesday.

According to police, five men, including Muhammad Asif, Azeem Ali and Shahbaz Ahmad, abducted Faiza* and Shumaila* from Chak 651-GB.

Akbar Rasheed, an uncle of the women, told The Express Tribune on Tuesday that they had gone to a bazaar, when they were abducted by Muhammad Asif, Azeem and Shahbaz.

“They carried the girls to a deserted place where they were joined by two unidentified men. All of them raped the girls,” he said.

“After the girls fainted, they were abandoned in the fields outside the locality,” he said.

“In the morning, some farmers saw the girls lying in the fields and informed their family. They were taken to hospital,” he said.

The Lundianwala SHO said that a case had been registered. “A police team has been formed to arrest the suspects,” the SHO said.
