KARACHI: Relations between the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) remained strained as MQM senator Babar Ghauri wrote a letter to PM Nawaz Sharif to complain about discrimination in jobs and embezzlement of Rs500 billion in funds by the provincial government. This was Ghauri's second letter in two days after he sent one to the Sindh chief minister demanding a share in government jobs for urban residents of the province. In his letter to Nawaz, he alleged that because of corruption, no development work was occurring. The PPP's actions were forcing people to demand a separate administrative unit, he added.
