ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday evening directed the Capital administration to remove containers from Islamabad's roads, Radio Pakistan reported.

Expressing annoyance over the placement of containers, the minister said hurdles in the smooth running of traffic and creating difficulties for the people are unacceptable.

Nisar further said that if containers are needed for security, then these should be placed on the sides of the roads.

On November 23, roads leading to Constitution Avenue were blocked by the federal authorities for security reasons.

In the wake Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s (PTI) planned November 30 rally in Islamabad, Senior Superintendent of Islamabad Police (SSP) Operations Asmatullah Junejo said that around 22,000 Rangers, Frontier Constabulary (FC), Punjab and Azad Kashmir police personnel have been recalled and around 100 containers will be placed at 72 key points in an effort to keep the Red Zone secure.

“The Red Zone and the [Islamabad] Expressway are of prime importance and will be secured,” he added.

This is a good spirit of PMLN Government. PTI is dying it's own death. Imran Khan's elder cousin Tahir-ul-Qadri has once again left the show and moved back to Canada. Now it is Imran Khan's turn to move back to London to see his children. There is a cost incurred on deploying & removing the containers. This cost should be recovered from Imran Khan/PTI.
