PM's press secretary denies media reports of premier's address today

Private media channels reporting Nawaz will address Imran Khan's allegations on Monday ahead of Nov 30 PTI rally

ISLAMABAD:
Press secretary to the prime minister contradicted media reports on Monday saying Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would address the nation today (Monday).

The PM's press secretary denied the reports without divulging any further details.

Private media channels reported that PM Nawaz was to address Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan's rigging allegations ahead of his 'decisive rally' scheduled for November 30 in the federal capital. Further, it was claimed that he would discuss the prevailing security situation of the country and the energy crisis.

State-run Radio Pakistan also momentarily reported that the PM would address the nation today. However, the link to the story is no longer visible. The last time PM Nawaz addressed the nation was on August 12, before PTI and Pakistan Awami Tehreek marched to the federal capital to stage a sit-in to overthrow the Nawaz-led government.
