Police impose ban on motorcycle riding in the provincial capital during a one-day polio immunisation drive

PESHAWAR: A ban on motorcycle riding has been imposed in the provincial capital on Sunday to avoid any untoward incident during a one-day polio immunisation drive. Deputy Commissioner Syed Zahirul Islam told The Express Tribune Section 144 will be imposed in the district from 8am to 5pm on November 23. Those found guilty of violating the ban will be penalised under Section 188, which could include up to six months of imprisonment. Around 4,260 lady health workers, teachers and volunteers will take part in the drive.
