ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Saturday ordered the Punjab Government to submit a report on the Kot Radha Kishan killings case within three days.

The Supreme Court in its ruling had asked the federal government to constitute a national council for minorities’ rights.

Further, the SC on November 7 reminded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, all provincial chief ministers and other officials that it had been awaiting reports pertaining to the enforcement of its verdict on the protection of minorities’ rights.

Despite the reminders sent by the SC, no report has been submitted. A final deadline of November 24 was announced by the SC on Saturday, giving the Punjab Government just three days to submit their reports in this regard.

On November 4, Christian couple -Shama and Shehzad- were beaten to death by an enraged Muslim mob after which their bodies were burnt in a brick kiln where they worked, for alleged blasphemy.

Issues pertaining to blasphemy are not rare in Pakistan and the sensitive issue has often led to mob violence across the country.

Even if the government submits the report........do you think the victims will ever get justice and the guilty be punished ?
