ISLAMABAD:

Travel agents have opposed the government’s decision to introduce biometric system for Umra pilgrims.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, Travel Agents Association of Pakistan (TAAP) demanded reversal of the decision. They said a Dubai-based company has been awarded the contract to process Umra visas. They claimed a single company cannot handle over 0.8 million annual Umra visas.
