Changing world: JI to host international women moot

ISLAMABAD: The Jamat-e-Islami (JI) will organise international women conference over the role of women in fast changing world on November 22 in Lahore and delegations from several Muslim and European countries would participate. The announcement was made by Aisha Syed, deputy secretary general women wing and member National Assembly from the JI while addressing a press conference. The JI is holding a three-day conference in Lahore from November 21 to 23 in which it would be presenting its popular agenda to make the country prosperous.  “Pakistan is facing multi-faceted problems due to estrangement from Islamic teachings and corruption, ill will, price hike and looting of ruling class,” she said adding, presence of women at the JI congregation would show that Pakistani women are part of this struggle. She said that the JI was striving for making the country an Islamic, welfare and democratic state and in order to achieve this purpose, women in particular would have to come out of their homes with an aim to do something. While explaining the background of JI’s Lahore rally, she said character of the young generation was being distorted through promotion of western culture in institutions.
