Lucrative jobs: Provincial management service exams begin

As many as 128 candidates appeared for provincial management service examinations held in Dera Ghazi Khan on Monday.


Punjab Public Service Commission has set up examination centres for candidates from south Punjab at Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan. The centre in DG Khan was set up at Ghazi University.

There was 39 per cent attendance at the DG Khan centre and 29 per cent in Bahawalpu.

As many as 128 candidates had applied from Dera Ghazi Khan and 423 from Bahalwapur.

The first exam for 28 provincial management posts and one excise and taxation post was English Eessay). The next examination for English General will be held on Tuesday (today).

As many as 51 people, including 13 women, gave the exam.

The district administration had deployed security personnel around the exam centre. The exam started at 1 pm and ended at 4 pm.

Talking to newsmen after the exam, most of the candidates expressed satisfaction with the arrangements.

They said they had been saved from inconvenience and cost, as previously they would have been required to travel to Multan or Lahore.
