Property dispute: Man beats brother to death

BAHAWALPUR:

A man beat his brother to death over a property dispute on Sunday.

Rahim Yar Khan police said Abdul Rehman had had a dispute with his brother Ehsanul Haq over some property.

They said on Saturday, the brothers again had an argument.

They said Haq and his son Anwar and Asghar, a friend, beat Rehman until he fainted. He was taken to a hospital where he died.

Police said Rehman was a prayer leader and a father of five.

His body was taken into police custody and taken to a hospital for post-mortem examination.

They said Haq and Anwar had been detained. Asghar managed to escape arrest.
