MUMBAI: Actor Ileana D’Cruz, who will be seen opposite Saif Ali Khan for the first time in the upcoming film Happy Ending, said she remains unaffected by the star power of the actor she is working with. “I don’t get intimidated by anybody. For me, you are an actor and I’m just working with you,” she said.

Speaking of her experience working with Saif, she said, “I was looking forward to working with him because the role demanded humour, which I think he is brilliant at.” Ileana has previously worked with younger actors, including Varun Dhawan in Main Tera Hero and Ranbir Kapoor in Barfi! She shared that working with Saif was a different experience. “He is incredibly hard on himself,” she stated.

Ileana said that she was offered a film with Saif much before the release of her debut film Barfi! “For me, doing a film with Saif would be great but doing a film with Saif that has a significant role for me, has been the perfect combination,” she commented. Adding, “I was offered a film with Saif much before Barfi! but I didn’t like the story. When I heard the story of Happy Ending, I was intrigued because this is an amazing script.”

She said her role in the film is as important as any other character. “My role is very good, it is at par with Saif’s and just as sassy as his. She is more of a guy than a girl. She is not emotional. My character is sort of dry and disinterested. She writes novels but doesn’t believe in them or in love, for that matter,” she said.

Directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, Happy Ending also features Govinda, Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey. The film will release on November 21.

@Parvez

It's second time we are at collision. First time it was on Vidya Balan. Looks like we have similar taste. But on a serious note you are right. This girl can act. I would recommend 'Barfi', if you haven't watched it already. She made a very good example of underacting which is very rare with subcontinent actors.

This girl has stunning looks and a strong whiff of eastern charm and she can act as well. Watching ' Happy Ending ' is on the cards for me.......lets hope she does not disappoint.
