RAHIM YAR KHAN: At least three people were killed while 16 others sustained injuries in road accidents in Punjab, Express News reported on Sunday.

In Rahim Yar Khan, rescue officials said a passenger van collided head-on with a truck at Sadiqabad Bypass.

Soon after the incident, the injured were taken to Sadiqabad District Headquarters Hospital for medical treatment, Radio Pakistan reported.

Meanwhile in Lahore, at least six students were injured when a school bus, coming from Okara, overturned at the Canal Road.

The steering belt was reportedly broken which led to the vehicle hitting a roadside tree.

The injured children were taken to Jinnah Hospital. Two of the students are in critical condition.

These two accidents come just a few days after the deadly collision between a passenger bus and goods truck near Khairpur on November 11, which killed 59 people and injured 18 others.
