Gen Kayani visits troops in Azad Kashmir

Kayani informally interacted with the troops, acknowledging and appreciating their morale and professionalism.

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani spent the second day of Eidul Azha with troops deployed in Azad Kashmir.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), COAS visited various locations along the Line of Control (LoC) in Lipa and Neelum Valleys. He informally interacted with the troops, acknowledging and appreciating their morale and professionalism.

He stated that the entire nation felt proud of the soldiers of the Army deployed in challenging weather and terrain conditions, in pursuit of securing the country’s borders.

Earlier the COAS was received by the Corps Commander Lieutenant General Khalid Nawaz Khan at one of the forward posts.

Sources have reported that while addressing the troops, the COAS remarked that the Army will ensure national security and will give a befitting response to any act of aggression directed towards the country.
