Going forward: ‘System must solve people’s grievances’

NEWS DESK. Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said on Thursday that a rejuvenated province cannot be built through highways, bridges and high-rise buildings. Speaking at a book launch at Islamia College University Peshawar, he said the need of the hour was to strengthen institutions that could deliver to the masses, especially the poor, read a handout issued on Thursday. Khattak said K-P needed a system to resolve people’s grievances without the help of influential people. He said the PTI government was striving to give the people a transparent system based on the supremacy of law, merit and justice so the youth gets ample opportunity to demonstrate their talents and capabilities. The event to launch Dr Laha Baha’s book was held at the Roos Keppel Hall of Islamia College University Peshawar. ICU Vice Chancellor Professor Ajmal Khan, Senior Alumni Association President and former K-P governor Ali Muhammad Jan Orakzai were present.
